Team Management

Managing team members and permissions in your cluster.

Inviting Members

Via Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Cluster Settings → Team
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter email address
  4. Select role (ADMIN, MODERATOR, or VIEWER)
  5. Add optional welcome message
  6. Click Send Invitation

Managing Roles

Changing Member Roles

Requirements:

  • Must be OWNER or ADMIN
  • Cannot change OWNER role
  • ADMINs cannot modify other ADMINs

Steps:

  1. Team list → Select member
  2. Click Change Role
  3. Select new role
  4. Confirm change

Removing Members

OWNER can remove:

  • Any member (ADMIN, MODERATOR, VIEWER)

ADMIN can remove:

  • MODERATOR, VIEWER only
  • Cannot remove OWNER or other ADMINs

Steps:

  1. Team list → Select member
  2. Click Remove
  3. Confirm action

Member loses access immediately.

Transferring Ownership

Only OWNER can transfer:

Irreversible Action

Ownership transfer cannot be undone. Choose carefully.

Steps:

  1. Team list → Select new owner
  2. Click Transfer Ownership
  3. Read warnings
  4. Type confirmation phrase
  5. Confirm transfer

Result:

  • New owner becomes OWNER
  • Old owner becomes ADMIN
  • Cannot be reversed

Invitation Management

Pending Invitations

View outstanding invitations:

  • Email sent to
  • Role assigned
  • Date sent
  • Expiration (7 days)

Resending Invitations

If invitation not received:

  1. Pending Invitations tab
  2. Find invitation
  3. Click Resend

Revoking Invitations

Cancel invitation before acceptance:

  1. Pending Invitations tab
  2. Select invitation
  3. Click Revoke

Activity Tracking

Audit Logs

Track team member actions:

  • Who did what
  • When it happened
  • Resource affected
  • Result (success/failure)

Available to: OWNER, ADMIN

Last Active

See when members last accessed cluster:

  • Online now indicator
  • Last seen timestamp
  • Recent activity summary

Best Practices

Security

  • Review team members quarterly
  • Remove inactive members
  • Use principle of least privilege
  • Rotate ownership if primary owner unavailable

Communication

  • Use welcome messages in invitations
  • Explain role responsibilities
  • Document team processes
  • Regular check-ins with team

Small Teams (1-5):

2-3 MODERATORs

Medium Teams (5-15):

1 OWNER
2-3 ADMINs
5-10 MODERATORs
1-2 VIEWERs

Large Teams (15+):

1 OWNER
3-5 ADMINs (by department)
